Capitola, CA-June 24, 2013- Bay Federal Credit Union is excited to announce the addition of three new Associate Directors to their volunteer Board of Directors.
Jordan Ciliberto is an Associate Attorney in Santa Cruz and he has been a member of Bay Federal since the late 1980s when Jordan's parents opened a small savings account to help teach him about financial management. Jordan joins the board inspired by Bay Federal's focus on serving and investing in our local community and Jordan says he "looks forward to continuing to advance the Credit Union's mission of 'making a real difference.'"
Julie Haff is a school administrator in San Lorenzo Valley and has been a member of Bay Federal for thirty four years. She was drawn to the Credit Union as a local institution started by teachers. "I feel volunteering with Bay Federal is an opportunity for me to represent that small group of local educators who started the Credit Union" Julie said.
Piret Harmon was born and raised in Estonia before coming to the United States where she currently serves as an administrator and financial manager with the City of Santa Cruz. She joins Bay Federal with an extensive education and professional background in finance and civic administration. Piret explains, "Bay Federal stands for the same values I believe in: high work ethic, positive attitude, and contributing to community participation."
Bay Federal's Board of Directors is comprised of Credit Union members who volunteer their time and experience, unpaid, to ensure the responsible governance and sound fiscal practices of the Credit Union. Bay Federal is excited for the opportunity to work with their new Associate Directors, Jordan, Julie and Piret.
