The Economic Impact Payment:
All You Need to Know

Information About Who is Eligible for Stimulus Payments and How to Get Your Money

As part of the CARES Act that Congress passed in March 2020, millions of people will receive Economic Impact Payments, or money to help pay for essential needs, such as food, utilities, medicine, and rent.

Here is some information to help you find out more about the stimulus payments and if you will be receiving a payment. Information about these payments and the status of your specific payment can be found on the IRS Coronavirus Tax Relief website. You can also visit the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau Guide to COVID-19 Economic Stimulus Relief page for additional detailed information.

Many of our members may have recently received an Economic Impact Payment prepaid debit card from the government in the mail. If you have questions about these debit cards, please visit our Economic Impact Payment Prepaid Debit Card FAQ.
