You can use a mobile wallet app to make purchases in-store and online. Because these apps differ by phone type, the following instructions are an approximation of what you will need to do to get started in a mobile wallet app. Open the app on your phone and select “add card.” The app may ask what type of card you want to use, and it will ask you to enter the 16-digit number on the front of your card, the four-digit expiration date, the full name on the card, and the three-digit CVV number on the back of the card. The app will then check to make sure all of the information is correct before telling you that the card is now available in mobile wallet.
To make purchases online, select “Credit Card” at checkout, and then tap on the entry box for the card’s 16-digit number. A menu will drop down with a list of the cards you have available in your mobile wallet app. Select a card, and enter the card’s three-digit CVV number. The card’s information will then auto-populate in your web browser or app, and you can continue checking out as normal.
To make purchases in-store, make sure that the card reader at the register has mobile wallet technology enabled. If it does, activate your mobile wallet app and hold it close to the reader. Your phone will communicate with the reader and securely pay for your purchases.
