During the holidays, there may be an increase in fraud attempts, particuarly spoofing. These scams may involve phone calls or messages that appear to come from Bay Federal Credit Union, asking members to confirm transactions and provide personal or account information, including one-time PINs, online banking credentials, or other sensitive details.
Please remember:
Bay Federal employees will NEVER ask you to share your online banking password, one-time PINs, or full card numbers over the phone, via text, or by email.
If you receive a suspicious call, message, or email:
- Do not respond or provide any information.
- Hang up immediately if you’re on a call.
- Contact us directly at 831.479.6000 or through secure messaging in online or mobile banking to verify and report the incident.
