Bay Federal’s Micah Arnold Becomes Certified as Sustainability Facility Professional

Capitola, CA – November 15, 2023 – Bay Federal Credit Union Facilities Senior Project Coordinator, Micah Arnold, joins an esteemed group of professionals in obtaining his Sustainability Facility Professional credential from the International Facility Management Association. This Sustainability Facility Professional course improves knowledge, enhances skills, and increases credibility towards the incorporation of sustainable concepts.

Professionals who have earned this globally recognized credential demonstrate an increased knowledge of the foundational competency of sustainability in facility management. This will aid both Arnold and Bay Federal in continuing to incorporate sustainability concepts into the organization’s facilities and daily practices.

“Micah has always been a champion for sustainability, previously receiving recognition for his ‘Focus on Sustainable Practice’ cost-saving ideas in 2021 and playing an instrumental role in our Green Business Certified designations,” stated Patty Winters, Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer. “This certification will enable Micah to continue leading Bay Federal towards becoming Green Business Certified at every single one of our locations.”

As the Senior Project Coordinator, Arnold plays a vital role in the care, maintenance, and functionality of credit union facilities. He joined the facilities team at Bay Federal in 2015 and after learning how impactful the organization can be on the environment, he found a passion for continuing his education in sustainability opportunities. Arnold works closely with the California Green Business Network to continue his environmental mission.

Micah enjoys spending his free time with his wife, playing their newfound hobby, pickleball, and maintains an active role in his ministry.
