Account Information FAQ

Finding your account number is easy! Simply login to the BayFed Mobile App by clicking the tiles for the account your wish to view and selecting Details. You can find this same information in BayFedOnline by selecting the account from under My Accounts. On the left-hand side of the new page that loads, click Account Details to view your account number. The account number can also be found on your monthly statement above the transaction summary for each account.  statement.

In the BayFed Mobile App under More, select the settings gear icon in the upper left corner, then My Settings to update your contact information.

In BayFedOnline, click My Settings in the top right corner to update your contact information, including your mailing address, email address, and phone number.

Updating your name with Bay Federal is easy! Simply bring a government-issued photo ID showing your new name to any of our branches. We will help you update your signature card with your new name and signature, and update your name in our system.

If you are unable to travel to a branch and you have online banking, you may submit your request through BayFedOnline’s Secure Messaging system on a computer. Once logged into BayFedOnline, select Contact Us in the top right corner. On the new page that loads, choose Secure Messaging and then New Message. Secure Messaging is also available through the BayFed Mobile App. Once you are logged in, select More from the bottom menu and choose Secure Messaging under Contact Us. Craft your message and attach the file of a scan your government-issued photo ID displaying your new name. A Member Service Representative will follow up with you to get a new signature card for our records. 

If you are unable to travel to a branch and you are not enrolled in online banking, you may submit your written, signed, and dated request with a photocopy of your government-issued photo ID through the United States Postal Service. Please address your request to:

Using the nickname feature in BayFedOnline, you may rename your accounts as you like.

  1. Select My Settings
  2. Click on Rename & Hide your accounts

You can also use the nickname feature in the BayFed Mobile App. 

  1. Select More in the bottom navigation
  2. Select the Settings icon in the top right corner, and click My Settings 
  3.  Click on Rename & Hide your accounts

Please note, you may only obtain your statements if you are a current eStatements user. If you would like to become an eStatements user, you will need to agree to the terms and conditions to sign up. Help save the environment by signing up for eStatements today!

  1. Once you have enrolled, login to BayFedOnline or the BayFed Mobile app.
  2. Click on Additional Services in BayFedOnline or More in the BayFed Mobile app. You will see a link for Statements and Documents.
  3. Look for the Statement Date in the left-hand column and click on the one you wish to view. Statement inserts, such as important disclosures and our quarterly newsletter BayWatch, can be found here as well.

If you also have personal accounts with Bay Federal, please make sure to login using your business account credentials. Then, follow the steps below:

  1. Click on Additional Services in BayFedOnline or More in the BayFed Mobile App. You will see a link for Statements and Documents
  2. Look for the Statement Date in the left-hand column and click on the one you wish to view. Statement inserts, such as BayWatch, can be found in the right-hand column.

Quick Peek is a feature in the BayFed Mobile App that allows you to see your recent account activity at a glance and without logging in!

Once Quick Peek is turned on, you only need to swipe down on the login screen of your BayFed Mobile App to see your balance along with the most recent transactions or payment activity for that account. High transaction volume accounts (like checking accounts) will show five days of account activity. Low volume accounts (such as loans) will show 30 days of account activity.

How to turn it on:

  1. Go to the More menu. 
  2. Tap the settings gear icon.
  3. Tap  Quick Balance, then the device you wish to enable the feature for. 
  4. Toggle the slide to turn on the feature.

On qualified Apple devices, you will also be able to see your balances in a "Today View" widget, and on Android devices, you may add a balance widget to your home screen.
